Russia sent Shaheds and missiles into our neighborhood. Its a sleepy residential section of Kyiv. One after another, the grating sound of the dive bombing Shaheds as they swooped into their targets. This is what “precision strikes” look like in real life, attacks on apartments and sleeping civilians.

Firefighters climbed into burning apartments with smoke choking the upper floors. Families stood wrapped in blankets on the street, watching their homes burn. Streets were shredded with glass and debris. Water rained down from hoses through the early hours as the fires kept flaring back up.

This isn’t the frontline.
It’s downtown Kyiv hundreds of miles from the battles raging in the south and east.
This is the brutality of russias war on Ukraine
